TMG has partnered with Veszprém KC to establish a handball academy at the Al-
Rehab and Madinaty clubs. This agreement is considered an important milestone
in the long-term partnership between the two sports entities, since the academy
will help discover and develop Egypt’s best handball players.
The partnership which aimed to improve future cooperation and growth, included
the Hungarian Ambassador, Mr. Omar Hisham Talaat, Chief Executive for Business
Development at TMG, and Egyptian Handball Federation Board member Amr El
Adl.
Mr. Omar Hesham praised Veszprém for partnering with the TMG, which would
expose youngsters to professional handball players via camps and international
events and ultimately help elevate talented players to the elite European handball
clubs.
Mr. Omar Hisham also noted that the new handball academy is an extension of
the many local and international academies already present at both Al-Rehab and
Madinaty Clubs. These academies focus on both individual and team sports and
have been responsible for the discovery of many promising young athletes. Such
as Mahmoud Al-Khatib and Liverpool Football Academies.
Since Veszprém is one of the major teams in Hungary and Europe, the academy is
planning to develop and open additional locations throughout Egypt in the hopes
of furthering the sport of handball.
