The Arab Company for Projects and Urban Development, one of the TMG Holding's companies, has done an agreement with a group of doctors, scientists and international management experts to create and manage the project of 'Cairo's International Medical City' on an area of 40 feddans (acres).

The Medical City will contain a specialty hospital with a capacity of 240 beds. Also it will include specialized medical centers in oncology, organ transplantation, orthopedics, sports medicine, rehabilitation, gynecology, pediatrics, and outpatient clinics. Moreover, it will hold as well a medical research center, an academic medical education, and an international center for the medical conferences. In addition to all this, it will have a spa, an hotel, and a commercial medical center; all this with a total investment of approximately $ 2.7 billion.

The Medical City will be designed and built similar to international medical cities worldwide and it will follow the highest standards of health care and international standards of treatments. The people who will be in charge of managing and operating this medical city will be some of the best scientists, doctors and international management experts.

Cairo's International Medical City aims to be a popular destination both locally and internationally as regards to health care and medical tourism, and to provide the highest quality of medical services by using the latest technology and the best treatment methods.

The opening of the first phase of the Medical City is scheduled to be by the end of 2015 which will include a specialist hospital with a capacity of 240 beds, noting that all phases of the project will be completed by the year 2020.
